SAFER MEDICINE

Pharmaceutical   companies  to privede  more information  on  prescription drugs  and consumers to be better  protected against counterfeit medicine.

The commission has  tabled proposals to improve how the European  pharmaceutical  market operates and ensure that patients benefit  from safe, innovative and accessible medicines.

One proposal would allow the industry  to post non-promotional product information on the internet  or in health-related publications. Consumers could  then access the information  to  find out  about  the composition , uses and effects  of different drugs on the market. At present, not all Europeans have access to such  information, partly  because standars  differ from country to country.

Europeans  should be informed  about available  medicines and treatments since their health is at stake said vice-president Gunter Verheugen, commissioner for enterprise and industry.

National authorities  would monitor  the information to ensure  it does  not violate  the Europeans  ban on  advertising prescription  medicine . The  ban  is intended to prevent the inappropriate consumption of medicine and help contain drug costs.

Other measures- including mandatory  safety features like serial  codes and seals on packages-seek to protect consumers against counterfeit medicine and  unsafe drugs.Counterfeit medicine is a problem throughout the world.Anyone almost anywhere can come across medicine.

NOBEL PRIZE DNA REPAIR

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2015 Tomas Lindahl, Paul Modrich and Aziz Sancarr, the 3 scientists were chosen for their contributions to the understanding of how cells repair DNA and safeguard the genetic information that there is It contains. His research helped us to better understand the functioning of cells and have applications, for example in the field of oncology. considered the fathers of DNA repair mechanisms, whose knowledge has allowed, for example, develop treatments for diseases such as cancer.

The jury considered that the work of the three researchers have been key to learning how cells repair their DNA and how to safeguard their genetic material.

Lindahl (Stockholm, 1938) works in the Francis Crick Institute UK Modrich (1946) is a researcher at Duke University (USA) while Sancar (of Turkish origin, although US passport) is a researcher at the University of Carolina from North. As explained by the jury, our cells undergo every day hundreds of diseases caused by agents such as snuff alterations, solar radiation or free radicals; "Even without these attacks, DNA is highly unstable". What the new Nobel Chemistry discovered in their laboratories from the 70s is that there is a complex system of repair of the genetic material of cells to prevent these changes translate into a complete "cell chaos."

Last year, the award went to Americans Eric Betzig and William E. Moerner and German Stefan W. Hell, all for the development of fluorescence microscopy which allows the inside of a cell.

This week has already been awarded two Nobel prizes; Medicine at the William C. Campbell, Satoshi Omura and Chinese Tu Youyou for his work against infections caused by parasites. And Physics to Takaaki Kajita and Arthur B. McDonald for his discoveries about neutrinos.

Scientists discovered by accident possible cancer vaccine.

By chance, the researchers found that proteins of malaria can kill cancer cells.

Scientists of Copenhagen University, Dinamarca and British Columbia Almost by accident discovered a cure for cancer realizing that malaria protein can be effective in combating the disease of our century, Russia stands this day.

Scientific research initially was intended to seek a vaccine capable to protect pregnant women from malaria, a disease that can seriously damage the placenta.

By chance they found that proteins of malaria can kill cancer cells. In this manner, the malaria vaccine could be injected to cancer and using a toxin, remove cells, reports the journal Cancer Cell.

The explanation is that the carbohydrate that enables the malaria parasite is attached to the placenta of pregnant women is the same as one that is in the Cancer cells. Carbohydrate in turn, ensures the rapid growth of the placenta and serves the same function in cancer cells.

The research on the surprising similarities has gone on for a long period of time, in a few months this organ can grow out from a few until cells reach a weight of about one kilogram, says Ali Salanti from Copenhagen University. So the placenta provides the embryo oxygen and food similar to what happens in the cells.

Researchers hope to testing in humans in the next four years, since studies could advance the discovery of a cure for cancer.

VICTORIA: So we meet on the night club at 10:pm. I have to call Monica .

NARRATOR:Victoria calls Monica.

VICTORIA: Hey tonight is free  beverages at the ninght club and  you can't miss, we meet you at                            10:00 pm at the door.

MONICA: Ok, I' ll see you there

NARRATOR: It  was nigth time and all  exited, they get ready thinking in what drrugs they will consume because they would be free. At 10:00pm they arrive to the ningth club.

NARRATOR:  (the soene)

MONICA: Hey guys let's take a seat

ASHLEY: ok, you guys I'm  gonna go for a beverage and I'll come back.

SARA: It´s ok but bring us two more.

NARRATOR: They were consuming alchollocic beverages all night but a gil. Ashley she doesn't was                         comfort with it  and she  start consuming drugs.

ASHLEY: Hey guys come come! this "candies"  are the best

MONICA: No ashley we don't want  those"candies"

NARRATOR: Sara and Monica  would not  consume  drugs thet  ninght but Ashley  continued taking                          one affter  the  other after ashley  falls to the  kloor sara and monica star asking  for                               help.

SARA: We need help y friend tainted.

NARRATOR: But no  body help them.

MONICA: We  have to calm down and think what to do.

NARRATOR: Sara  checks her pulse and she was breathing but she doesn't  wake up.

MONICA:  Monica we have  to take her to home and knock knock and leave her at the  door

NARRATOR: Luckly  her arents were  there  and took  her to the hospital  so that they  help her.

NARRATOR: The days  pass and monica  and sara  never  went to Ashley  home to see  her and her                             mother  was asking for them.

ASHLEY: I don't know what  happened, may be they put something on my beverage  but  let me rest                    mom

NARRATOR: When ashley  feel better , she go to  college and intent  talk with them about it but they                          don't want talk to her

ASHLEY: Please monica explain  o me what happened that nigh.

MONICA: Nothing, you  taked to much  drugs

ASHLEY: But why you guys abandon me?

SARA: Because we don't wanted problems.

MONICA: After all, we don't want you  as our friend.

CHEESE PIE

Preparation:

1. Grin the cookies boiler until well fine. They added one of two bars of butter previosly mealted.

2. In a blender mix the condensed milk, cream cheese , two eggs, and vanilla.

3. In a put the crackers, as a bes. when the dough is evernly ditributed pour the mixture from the blender.

4. Put the mold into the  preheated the oven. Bake for 25 minutes. when the fork comes out clean, its done.
